Marcus A. Roland is a Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rated* attorney (BV) and has practiced law in Kentucky for over 15 years. He received his B.A. from Union College, his M.A. from the University of Cincinnati, and his J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law. Marc has practice experience in multiple areas of the law including estate and probate law, criminal law, family law, and general civil law. He has spent the largest part of his career handling workers' compensation claims. Roland has represented workers' compensation clients, appeared before workers' compensation Administrative Law Judges and presented arguments to the Kentucky Workers' Compensation Board, the Kentucky Court of Appeals and the Kentucky Supreme Court in over 1,000 workers' compensation matters. Marc is also a trained mediator, a trained meeting facilitator, and has been a featured consultant with HG.org. Roland has presented at a variety of seminars and is the editor of Roland Legal's workers' compensation blog,
Ouch!. He is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, the KBA Workers' Compensation Section, the Fayette County Bar Association, American Bar Association and is admitted to practice before the Kentucky courts and the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Kentucky. Roland is involved in the Lexington, Kentucky arts community as a board member and actor with various theater organizations, and serves on the Friends of McConnell Springs board of directors, an organization which promotes awareness of and educates the community on the history of McConnell Springs, a public landmark and natural spring recognized as the birthplace of Lexington, Kentucky.
